About the bench

Coreanvil is two benches in a shared workshop in Ghent, run by two people doing electronics board bring-up: taking a new PCB from bare to trusted, finding why it does not work, and writing down what we did so the next revision is faster. This site is that log, published read-only.

Who

Ilse Vantorre and Pieter Maes. Between us: the soldering and rework, the scope work, the fixtures, and the firmware far enough to get a console and walk the peripherals. We are not a contract house with a sales desk; if a board is interesting we will say so, and if it is a bad idea we will say that too.

Why it is public

Most bring-up knowledge dies in a notebook. Publishing the method and the state of each board costs us nothing and occasionally saves someone an afternoon, usually the afternoon we already lost to a rig fault or a zero-clearance pour. The raw captures stay on the bench terminal; what is here is the write-up.

Contact

Mail log@coreanvil.app for a copy of a specific measurement or to point out where a log is wrong. No phone and no form on purpose: a question with a board reference and a date in it is answerable, a phone call about "a board" is not.
